The creative team at World Of WearableArt (WOW®) is seeking submissions from experienced musicians for the 2025 WOW Show season. We are looking for high level skills in vocals and instruments. Musicians need to have a strong stage presence and have the ability to perform a range of styles – potentially even a character if required. We are interested in musicians and singers.
We are encouraging submissions from all nationalities and genders. We are searching for musicians who have a strong work ethic and who are open to the variety of styles of music that WOW shows involve. Collaboration is paramount. Must be able to work alongside and with the Musical Director and Staging Directors.
Rehearsals begin early September with some rehearsal recordings (if required – in late July). The show season finishes 5 October 2025, and you must be available for all of this date range. The rehearsals and show season are in Wellington City.
Being part of the WOW Show is a memorable experience – our cast and crew return year after year to reconnect and hit the stage again. In addition to performing you will get to work alongside like-minded individuals and a large team of creative practitioners who are passionate and who work hard each year to create a memorable and unique event for the show audiences.
Submission requirements:
* You must have the legal right to work in Aotearoa New Zealand and be over the age of 18.
* Whilst we prefer Wellington based performers, there may be limited out of town contracts offered.
Please fill out the registration form online then email a headshot plus a two minute video demonstrating your current specific skill sets and unique style to submissions@worldofwearableart.com by Thursday 5 December 2024. Include specific/preferred skill and any other general skills.
An in-person meeting with the Musical Director may be requested for Tuesday 10 December 2024.
If you have any questions, please contact WOW Associate Producer (Creative) Libby George - libby@worldofwearableart.com and we'll be happy to help.
